Shaina Mote

Based in Los Angeles, designer Shaina Mote aims to provide sleek and transformable staples to curb the mentality of fast fashion. By designing a garment with more options, such as a reversible quality or a new way to tie, the hope is to increase the ways a garment can be worn over time and encourage less waste. When possible, Shaina Mote works with locally sourced or dead-stock materials and goods. The production of Shaina Mote's garments are done over the span of a few months with family-run and local businesses, using materials that are classic and natural. Cotton, rayon, bemberg, tencel and wool are commonly used throughout the collections, with an emphasis place on utilizing easily renewable plant-based fibers.
