Ajaie Alaie

Ajaie Alaie is all about mindfulness and reminding women to be mindful with their daily thoughts and actions. Each garment has an amulet on the inside of the garment at a specific energy point (a chakra), represented by a design detail, a knot, twist, dart etc. With simple philosophies behind it, the amulet serves as a visual reminder to begin the day with such positive intentions.

Ajaie Alaie’s woman is aware of her surroundings, of world issues and is in constant strive to be a better version of herself. Ajaie Alaie's woman is in constant motion, flow, and always looking to broaden her perspectives.
Ajaie Alaie chooses to craft their clothes with natural fibers, tencel, viscose and raw silk for their sustainable properties - these fabrics are made out of regenerated cellulose from bamboo, soy or sugar cane and the raw silk is made out of the fibers left over after picking out the fine fibers used for silks such as mulberry silk. Ajaie Alaie's linens and some of their cottons are handloomed in India as well and this supports local communities and artisans in regions of India where handloom sustains their economy. They also work a lot with Japanese fabrics because of how strict in the regulations they are for the disposal of waste and dyes. Any polyester used in their fabrics are deadstock.
