Made in Canada

With globalization, local fashion manufacturers in both the U.S. and Canada are suffering as fashion companies move their production off-shore to cut costs. And while this may seem optimal, there are many downsides to off-shore production, such as an increased carbon footprint from international shipping. On the other hand, manufacturing clothing locally allows companies to keep a watchful eye on their garment workers' working conditions and the quality of their goods. Furthermore, companies that produce locally can produce in smaller batches, which is ultimately a more sustainable business model as pieces are made more to demand.
